Emergency Fuel Tank Replacement

Stanford HealthCare
211 Quarry Road

APS successfully replaced a 500-gallon emergency ConVault fuel tank at Stanford Medical Center. The project required coordinated use of a temporary backup fuel tank to maintain operations during the replacement. The scope involved extensive planning and compliance, including a Method of Process (MOP), Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM), and adherence to the Infection Control Risk Assessment Matrix (ICRAM). APS managed multiple shutdowns, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and a crane pick, while securing all necessary local and state permits. Work was performed in accordance with A/E design documents, including structural anchorage details. A comprehensive MOP was implemented covering fire alarm, electrical, and emergency generator systems to ensure life safety and uninterrupted critical services.
